you know when you like someone but you just happen to run into them everywhere and it kinda ruins it? that’s what’s starting to happen with gorgeous Indian boy…

usually when I go dancing, on average I’ll dance with one or two guys, if I dance with any guys at all. somehow last night I managed to dance with seven of them. seven! I actually managed to ask a guy to dance, which is the first time I had ever done so.

from the beginning, I saw this cute asian guy who also happened to be about 6 feet tall. I decided I really wanted to dance with him and I even told my friends that it was going to happen.

for most of the night, I wasn’t near him and if I was, I felt too shy to ask him. I think I was just hoping he would ask me instead. towards the end of the night, I got a surge of confidence and I headed toward him to finally ask him. right as I was about to open my mouth, I feel someone’s hands on my hips out of nowhere and then of course the grinding. in my mind I’m like HELL NO YOU ARE NOT GOING TO RUIN THIS FOR ME! I went completely stiff and he left me alone and then I marched up to cute asian boy and asked him to dance. he said yes! we danced for the rest of the night, which was only about 20 minutes, but still! I was a happy camper :)

I went dancing last night in high heels and I fell asleep afterwards with my index (?) toes asleep, probably due to the heels. I woke up this morning and they’re still asleep.

oh no, are they going to be asleep for 6 months like my foot last time?

omg my friend has made me miraculously sexy for tonight!

I’m not a happy camper right now.

today was unusually warm (69 degrees) and sunny for santa cruz. it was enough to put me in a huge beach mood. I was basically bouncing around everywhere telling everyone that I’m so happy that it’s sunny, that I love the beach, etc. I asked all my friends to go to the beach with me and they all declined, saying that they had homework to do. I didn’t mind; I would just go to the beach alone. I left to go to the beach at 2:30, planning to stay until 5-ish. the bus took a ridiculously long time to arrive at the bus stop. once I boarded, my friend Antonio asked me to buy him some chips and candy for a frat thing and I told him it was fine; I’d be back by 5.

somehow, what was supposed to be a 25-minute bus ride to the beach extended much longer than that. I literally didn’t step foot on the beach until 4:00. literally. I calculated that I would only have a half an hour to enjoy the beach in order to get the food and make it back up to campus by 5:00, 5:30 if the buses weren’t in my favor (the time he had to leave at). since going to the beach was the highlight of my day, I texted Antonio immediately telling him that I was only going to be able to be at the beach for half an hour. no reply.

at 4:30, I run down to the drugstore, pick up the food, and make it back to the bus station at 5:00. there were a few buses already there that were going up but every single one of them were on their 15-minute break. I finally got on a bus, completely stressed and frazzled and worried that I’m going to be too late when I get this text: “Don’t worry about it. Emily got it for me thx anyway!”

let’s just say I completely lost my cool, which honestly doesn’t happen very often.

hehehehe I got invited to a lingerie party that is being held two weeks from now ;)
